Testimonials

We couldn't be happier with the incredible results Noah has achieved under Rod's coaching this past year. He's developed so many new skills, and his game has come on leaps and bounds. We feel incredibly blessed to have a coach like Rod right here on the Sunshine Coast, as he truly is irreplaceable. What truly sets Rod apart is his role as a mentor and role model to Noah. His knowledge of cricket is astounding, and he has a unique gift for teaching the fundamentals. He intuitively knows the difference between explicit and implicit instruction, empowering Noah to problem-solve his shots independently. This kind of insightful, nuanced approach is clearly a testament to Rod's extensive playing and coaching experience.

Andrew and Cynthia Torok (Noah Torok)

Rod is meticulous in his coaching, which is delivered in a focussed and very constructive manner. He is an exceptional technical batting coach, teaching the fundamentals properly before moving onto advanced techniques and strategies. Rod has helped Jasper to build a very well rounded set of skills that he can deploy in a wide range of scenarios. We have been most impressed with the impact Rod has had on Jasper's batsmanship.

Oliver & Amy Reeves (Jasper Reeves)

Our son Toby came to cricket a bit later than most, but working one-on-one with Rod Davison has made a huge difference. Rod’s coaching has really helped Toby develop strong technical batting skills, and he’s now a confident top-order batter and handy off-spinner.
Rod’s support and the opportunities he’s provided have been fantastic. He’s clearly passionate about helping young players improve, and it shows in the way Toby’s game has come along.
We’re really grateful for everything Rod has done and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others.

Gavin and Tanya Elms (Toby Elms)

Both of our sons have had the privilege of being coached by Rod for nearly 3 years and we can confidently say that his expertise, dedication, and passion for cricket have had a profound impact on their games and their love of cricket. Having performed at such a high level himself, it’s clear that Rod has a deep understanding of the technique, strategy, and mental conditioning required to perform at a high level.

Rod is exceptional at identifying strengths and areas for improvement, providing clear, actionable feedback that accelerates development. The private training sessions are well-structured, challenging, and tailored to individual needs, but most importantly for younger players they are a lot of fun. Beyond technical skills, he establishes discipline, confidence, and a winning mindset - qualities essential for success in cricket.

We can’t recommend Rod highly enough to any young cricketer looking to elevate their game. His coaching has been invaluable to both of our son’s progress, and we are grateful for his guidance.

Yumeth was fortunate to receive coaching from Rod Davison over the last couple of years and he has improved in all aspects of his game. This has led to Yumeth's successes in the cricket teams that he has played for and he has been fortunate to have been selected in a range of youth representative cricket teams in both the Club and Schoolboys pathways.

In 2024, Yumeth was selected in the Queensland U14 Schoolboys cricket team. Following Yumeth's successful performances at the National U15 Schoolboys carnival in 2025, Yumeth was named in the All Australian U15 Schoolboys team.

At the moment, Yumeth is working with Rod on his batting, and preparing for the 2025/26 Lord Taverners U16s Premier Cricket season with his brisbane club, University of Queensland.

Rod Davison is more than a coach to Yumeth. He is a mentor to his personal growth and has assisted with gaining sponsorship support. Over the coming years, his coaching expertise and high level of game awareness will help young cricketers to achieve their goals without a doubt.
